Product Description
Exclusively for Motif ES series users, this library takes the main categories of Motif sound as its guide and then creates alternative voices - with or without new samples.
Thoughtfully programmed, and with particular attention paid to player control such as velocity sensitivity (there's a superb guitar voice that adds pitch bend with via velocity), this collection is perfect for those simply looking to expand their palette of classic Motif sounds, across the board.
The voice bank comes as an ALL File containing 128 high quality voices from most categories on the ES, and 10 Performances (most of which are actually Voice Performances to create larger sounding voices). An Editor file has also been created for the S90ES, ES Rack, & the MO6/8.
Keep in mind the Editor file only contains the 128 voices and not the 10 Performances.
Memory will need to be installed on the Motif ES in order to make use of the occasional new samples. An ALL file that has the user waves replaced by preset waves and tweaked to sound very close to the original user waves can be requested if necessary.
This library contains 14 Acoustic pianos that address velocity sensitivity in particular. Similar to having the 3-layer S700 kick in on different elements at various velocities to change the timbre of the voice, the programming team has managed to achieve a similar result using only one element. Playing very softly and gradually playing harder (pianoforte pf) you will hear the timbre change accordingly as can be heard on the demos.
This makes the voices very responsive to your touch.
There are 15 Electric pianos, several of which incorporate a similar velocity sensitivity using more than one element, which you can also hear on the demos. There are 2 additional keyboard sounds, 4 Clavs and 1 Harpsichord.
There are 14 organs, many of which sport new and exciting uses of the Leslie effect.
There are 3 acoustic guitars with AT on one of them, 13 electric guitars, 2 with AT and 4 with an arpeggio attached that triggers at high velocity (123-127), and 1 sitar.
There are 2 saxes and 2 flutes one of each has been programmed for BC but can be played normally on the keys.
Two of the violins and two of the cellos come with no vibrato (un-losable vibrato on strings has been a long-standing complaint with the presets). They are programmed with AT vibrato as is demonstrated on the demos. In addition to attention being paid to velocity sensitivity, additional volume expression on the mod wheel helps to simulate the various strokes of the bow. These voices are actually interchangeable depending on the register you play them so you actually have 4 violins and 4 cellos.
There are 7 additional string voices as well. One of the accompanying Performances has a large string section with no vibrato.
There are 4 brass sections and 9 combination brass, strings and other various instruments to give you different types of orchestras.
The choirs comprise 11 very usable voices that can be heard on the demo. Plus there are two voices with choir pad combo sounds. There are also 3 voices in the Cp category.
Finally, are 16 synths in the Sc, Ld and Pd categories and 1 Me voice.
Within the voice library, you'll find 6 voices that are actually ES stock voices that have been tweaked: 2 Acoustic Pianos,1 Electric Piano, and 3 Organs. There is also 1 Guitar from the original Motif. These are named almost the name as the originals so users can tell them apart.
Although created for Motif ES, the material can be loaded into a Motif XS, the main difference lying in the application of FX.
